Productive day out with my bow

Cole, 17 from Hamilton likes to get out with his buddy Cam and shoot for carp.

It’s a great hobby to get outdoors and Cole reckons he shot about 1000 in the year.

They went out one morning on the lake nice and early with paddle boards. They stand on front of them with big bins on the back to put the carp in. They headed out to a quiet little spot on the lake and shot up a few carp before paddling away separately around an island.

Cole lost his arrow tip half way up the island so had to shoot the carp in shallow waters so the arrow pinned them to the ground to insure they didn’t escape.

When Cam and Cole met up again at the top of the island they both had buckets full. Unfortunately Cam snapped his paddle meaning he had to drift back to the shore whilst our paddle boards were almost sinking from the weigh of the carp.

They had also managed to get some large grass carp (this one pictured was 15kg).
