The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF 60 riflescopes are expertly designed for hunting small, fast moving targets at extended ranges, making them especially effective for pest and predator control. Explore below to discover the specific features of each model and how these can elevate your hunting efficiency and precision.

Optical updates you can’t miss

Retaining the 30 mm tube design for convenient mounting, the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF 60 line comes with several major updates.

Most important are the new optics, designed specifically for long-range applications. The 60-mm focal length offers enhanced optical parameters which translates into better image quality, higher image detail, improved detection capabilities at longer ranges, and a higher base magnification than in previous models.

We have also upgraded the eyepiece optics. The wide-angle design is specifically optimized for use with high-resolution micro-displays and allows for exceptional viewing comfort through an 8 mm exit pupil, giving the hunter enhanced situational awareness and field control.

The new eyepiece optics have enabled us to achieve best-in-class 65 mm eye relief. Along with enhanced screen visualization, this ensures the shooter’s safety with higher caliber ammunition and familiar riflescope positioning resembling that of conventional daytime optics.

The long-range precision you’ve been waiting for

Both the eyepiece and lens optics deliver enhanced image clarity at greater distances, but what truly sets the Thermion 2 LRF 60 riflescopes apart is the comprehensive suite of features, making it the top choice for long-range shooting.

First, the magnification range. Upgraded optics provide a higher base magnification, elevating the hunter’s experience of long-range aiming and target acquisition. Additionally, the click value has been reduced, significantly boosting precision during scope zeroing, resulting in more accurate shots.

To complete the package, the Thermion 2 LRF 60 riflescopes feature a built-in laser rangefinder with internal ballistic calculations. Renowned for its seamless rangefinder integration, the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF line ensures precise distance readings. Taking it a step further, we’ve integrated the display of the suggested point of aim directly onto the riflescope screen. This innovative feature, combined with all the capabilities across the Thermion 2 LRF 60 line, is highly useful when targeting animals at long distances.

Different models for different needs

The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF 60 line comes in three models:

Thermion 2 LRF XL60

For all-around versatility, the Thermion 2 LRF XL60 with its HD resolution sensor performs well on targets big and small, near and far. 2.5x base magnification and 11.7 ° field of view make this model as powerful and convenient as possible.

Thermion 2 LRF XP60

For hunting in harsher weather conditions, Thermion 2 LRF XP60 has the highest sensitivity, which is ideal for low visibility. With its <18mK NETD, you’ll spot the smallest details, even in humid conditions.

Thermion 2 LRF XG60

With its solid 4x base magnification, the Thermion 2 LRF XG60 is the best option for long-range shooting precision.

Pulsar Thermion 2 60 series user comments

Zac Costley

Zac was the first person worldwide to shoot a deer with the new Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60, back in October 2024, during a fallow deer hunt near to Canvastown at the top of the South Island. He used a Thermion 2 LRF XL60 sample unit provided by the Pulsar factory.

“As I have only used the Thermion 2 LRF XL60 that’s all I can provide feedback on:

Image clarity on this unit is phenomenal with a 60 lens & 1024×768 sensor & wide FOV with a 2.5x base magnification

Zoom capabilities are also amazing with the ability to zoom without losing image clarity

I see a great potential for sales of this scope for a wide range of recreational & professional users

The new larger ocular housing & lens provides a greater eye relief & makes it very clear to see with new display shape”.

Jayden King

“I have been using the Thermion 2 LRF XP60. I absolutely love this new scope! The biggest feature I am really liking is the larger ocular lens and screen, the viewing experience is amazing. Having a much longer eye relief was very helpful in setting this scope up on a rifle and I even found sighting in the scope much more enjoyable and a lot easier to read the screen.

In the field again I found the larger size ocular to be greatly beneficial. I had to take a very close shot under 50m and I had no issues in acquiring the target in a rush at that close distance. I can see this new feature being very beneficial for professional pest controllers.

I have compared image quality between the XP50 and the XP60 and there is a slight difference in detail but the overall viewing experience is what stands out the most.”
