On a cold July evening at Lake Argyle, the sun sank in the sky. The day hadn’t been super successful yet but in the dying minutes that was going to change.
In the blink of an eye my line went tight, and a fierce battle unfolded. The fish darted left and right, putting up a massive fight. This coupled with the harsh cold wind made it challenging to land. After fighting tooth and nail the fish began to tire and I was able to glide it close to the boat. The surface erupted and a shining rainbow figure appeared. The trout was quickly brought on board and celebrations soon followed. It was in great eating condition and weighed a whopping six pounds. What a way to end the day.
